About The Company:
Based on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, Hong Kong Exile is an interdisciplinary arts company co-founded by Natalie Tin Yin Gan, Milton Lim, and Remy Siu in 2011. Since its inception, Hong Kong Exile has created fourteen original works presented in dance, theatre, film/media and new music contexts across Canada and internationally. Highlights include a month-long gallery exhibition at Centre A, presentations at CanAsian International Dance Festival, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Gaudeamus Muziekweek, and PuSh International Performing Arts Festival–with whom they were awarded Artists-In-Residence for 2017 and 2018. HKX aims to create innovative performance through collaborative, interdisciplinary investigation, drawing from our diasporic experience as first-generation Asian-Canadian settlers.
